The Princess Project Silicon Valley has been dressing and accessorizing financially challenged girls, for their high school proms, since 2006. Last year alone, over 1,100 girls, attending over 56 high schools and organizations, from San Mateo to San Benito, received free prom dresses, accessories, goody bags, and a whole lot of TLC from Princess Project Silicon Valley!

In Santa Clara County alone, over 41,000 children, under the age of 18, live in poverty. Yet there are thousands more whose families are just making ends meet, due to the effects of the economic downturn or other circumstances beyond their control. The Princess Project Silicon Valley cannot change fate for all teenaged girls among this population, but we can create a special moment, a magic memory.

An effort like this takes a great deal of dedication from a wonderful team of Fairy Godmothers, support from local businesses, such as Trudy’s Special Occasion, Courtside & Decathlon Clubs, Westfield Valley Fair, and a whole bunch of $32 (or more) contributions from our friends, neighbors and the greater Silicon Valley community.
